The word Redemption is a familiar Christian term to so many, but what does it really mean? The Greek word means: “by payment of a price to recover from the power of another; to ransom, or to buy off.” We all know that Jesus redeemed us from sin, but what have we been redeemed into? Galatians 3:13-14 provides the amazing answer that staggers the human mind. Jesus did it all for us, and so much more. Find out the true scope of your Redemption—you’ll never be the same!
Who are you in Christ Jesus? Second Corinthians 5:17-21 says you became a new creature in Christ, the moment you made Jesus The LORD of your life. All things in you became new, and all those things are of God, because Jesus was made to be sin with your sin so you could be made His righteousness.
Unrighteousness is no longer who you are. It’s who you used to be. Because of the One who loved you and gave Himself for you, you can stand in the presence of the Most Holy God without a sense of guilt or shame. You were created in the image and likeness of Jesus, filled with His Spirit, speaking with the tongues of men and of angels!
God has already defeated the destroyer and given His people the victory over every sickness, every disease and every attack—including COVID-19. The Passover, Love’s (God’s) protection for His people through applying the blood of a lamb on the side posts and lintels of their doors, kept the destroyer from coming into their houses to smite them (Exodus 12:5-7, 13, 23). The blood of the eternal sacrifice, the Lamb of God, and His powerful promises, protect us today, if we’ll wrap ourselves in them and apply them through faith!
There is victory for the child of God in every aspect of the New Birth! First John 5:4-5 says, “Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?” The devil had the power of death, but Jesus paralyzed him and brought him to zero. God has given us the victory over death, hell and the grave through Jesus. First Corinthians 15:54-57 gives us the good news that every manifestation of sin and death that tries to come against us is now “swallowed up in victory”!
God is Light, and He is Love. In Him is no darkness at all. God is Life. In Him is no death. He is Love. In Him is no hate. We are born again of Love into the Kingdom of Light, and we are instructed to put on and wear the “armour of Light” (Romans 13:12), the LORD Jesus Christ—the Anointed One and His Anointing—by the power of the Holy Spirit. We are covenant people. The devil can’t touch us when we are walking in and keeping the commandment of Love!
The Almighty God, El Shadday, is “the all sufficient one,” “the God who is more than enough.” He is everything we could ever need, and throughout Scripture, He is known by His wonderful names. El Shadday gave Jesus His Name(s), and because He is our blood Brother by covenant, we have been named after Him. We know who He is by His name(s), so we now know who we are in Him. Jesus has been given a Name that is above every name, and because of that, we are new creatures in Him, made His righteousness and joint heirs with Him, the Anointed One. This is our message in 2020. Every born-again believer must find out who God is, who Jesus is, and who we are in Him!
The Bible is a Book about the importance of God’s management of time. He has given time to all men. What we do with it is the most important thing in our lives. God has specific plans for all men everywhere, and His plans are for good. But it’s up to us to make the right choices in life by placing His WORD as final authority, thereby choosing Life and abundance that was paid for with His life’s blood.
So what about the upcoming year? It will be a year of new visions, manifest power and great change. It’s up to you and me how that will manifest in our own lives. The stage is set for the greatest outpouring of spiritual power and God’s glory than ever in its history. But what we do with it—the way we vote in the upcoming elections, has everything to do with the outpouring. With our prayers and votes, the United States of America will become one nation under God again!
Christmas tradition has obscured some of the interesting and wonderful things about the birth of Jesus. Christmas is really the celebration of Christ, the Messiah, the One anointed with the burden-removing, yoke-destroying power of THE ALMIGHTY GOD! The angels that appeared to the shepherds abiding in the fields that glorious night were celebrating the fact that the One who would destroy the works of the devil was finally here: “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men” (Luke 2:14). The sacrifice was here. The war between heaven and earth was over. In a little more than 33 years, death, hell and the grave would bow their knee and confess that Jesus is LORD to the glory of God the Father!
God is a covenant-making, covenant-keeping God. His WORD never fails. The God of more than enough has just made a covenant with a man and woman who cannot fulfill their part of the promise. It was impossible. Abraham was almost 100 years old and Sarah was 90. Not only that, she had been unable to have children all her 90 years. How could she ever have a child now? That’s the contradiction. The truth is he, Abraham, can’t and she, Sarah, can’t, but El Shaddai can and will!
Faith, hope and love are the most powerful forces in the universe. Faith-filled words created all things. Living, Bible hope is the supernatural blueprint of which faith is the substance. But the greatest force is love because God is Love, and He is the Source of our hope. In the light of these powerful forces, everything we can see or feel is subject to change if we’ll keep our eyes on Jesus—The WORD Himself!
